Civil disobedience is when citizens of a country protest against a rule or act by refusing to comply with it. Gandhi led civil disobedience against the British in the form of nonviolent protest.
Salt March
A 200 mile march led by Gandhi in 1930 in protest of the state monopoly on salt, in which they marched from Ashram Ahmedabad to the Arabian Ocean to “pick up a few grains of salt”. An initiator of civil disobedience among citizens of India.
